Yimengshan UNESCO Global Geopark Completes Revalidation Successfully

The assessment panel consisted of two UNESCO Global Geopark evaluators: Maria-Luise Frey from Germany and Karmah Patricia Salman Monte from Spain. They conducted a full review via briefings, field inspections, document reviews and feedback sessions. The revalidation evaluated progress in park management, infrastructure construction, geological heritage conservation, geoscience popularization and local economic growth, to drive continuous innovation and sustainable development of the geopark.

During the revalidation, the expert team received detailed presentations covering the geopark’s overview, rectification work on previous expert recommendations, achievements made in recent years, and future development plans.
