During the Spring Festival holiday (from January 19 to 28, 2026), Yimengshan UNESCO Global Geopark Museum received more than 20,000 visitors. Interactive exhibits such as the Daigu landform model, diamond formation displays, and the crustal evolution corridor transformed geological knowledge into immersive experiences, making it a popular destination for family learning tours.
In recent years, the Geopark administration has continuously improved exhibits and smart services. During the holiday, additional staff and free guided tours were arranged to enhance visitor experience. As part of preparations for the 2026 UNESCO revalidation, the Geopark is strengthening the protection of 52 core geo-sites and promoting integrated development with surrounding attractions likeGuimeng, creating a comprehensive tourism model of “mountain sightseeing, foothill experiences, and museum interpretation.”
Moving forward, the museum will further integrate geological education with Dongyi culture and red culture, upgrade interpretation and smart services, and aim to become a global showcase of geoheritage and cultural landscapes.
