
The 11th UNESCO Global Geoparks Conference was grandly held in Temuco, Araucanía Region, Chile, from September 5 to 12. Themed "From Ancestral Knowledge Towards Future Geoparks: Technology and Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development", the conference featured a series of key events, including GGN General Assambly, GGN Executive Bureau Meeting, the Geopark Expo (Geography Fair), and the Opening Ceremony of the Geopark Film Festival. The event brought together over 1,500 experts, scholars, geopark representatives, and stakeholders from more than 50 countries worldwide, fostering international collaboration in geopark conservation, sustainable development, and innovation.
The Yimengshan UNESCO Global Geopark delegation actively participated in all conference sessions and delivered a keynote presentation titled "Yimengshan UNESCO Global Geopark: An Integrated Ecological Communication Model for Scientific Popularization and Cultural Heritage Preservation."The presentation shared best practices with global geopark representatives, fostering international exchange and collaboration.

Through an engaging exhibition booth, poster displays, informational materials, cultural and creative products (CCPs), and video showcases, the delegation presented the geological splendor, cultural richness, and ecological beauty of Yimengshan, receiving widespread acclaim.



Notably, intangible cultural heritage (ICH) demonstrations—including Liu-style paper flower folding, Yimeng paper-cutting, and hand-embroidered Yimeng tiger dolls—captured significant attention. These exquisite, regionally distinctive crafts, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and profound local cultural identity, became a highlight of the exhibition, earning high praise and enthusiasm from attendees.
