From September 10th to 15th, a delegation of three people from Yimengshan Global Geopark participated in the 8th Asia-Pacific Geopark Webinar held in Cao Bang Province, Vietnam.

The conference was hosted by Cao Bang Global Geopark of Vietnam with the theme "Geopark Aboriginal Peoples and Sustainable Development". It focused on six themes, including "heritage discovery, conservation and sustainable use" and "geoparks and regional sustainable development". Besides, a meeting of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council, the 20th anniversary celebration of the establishment of Global Geoparks, an expo and field trips were held during the webinar. More than 800 experts, scholars and park representatives from 19 countries, including China, Malaysia, Iran, India and Morocco, attended the event.
During the meeting, the delegation of Yimengshan Global Geopark actively participated in the thematic exhibition and publicity work, and exchanged views with representatives and experts of the Global Geoparks at home and abroad. Li Zerun, representative of Yimengshan Global Geopark, made a report entitled "Taking Multiple Measures to Show Solicitude for Lives on Earth", introducing the general situation of Yimengshan Global Geopark to the participants, as well as the achievements made in the fields of biodiversity conservation, integrated protection and restoration of mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands and deserts, and popular science education.
At the exhibition site, Yimengshan Global Geopark carried out publicity and promotion at the China booth through posters, brochures and various cultural and creative products. The unique resources of Yimengshan attracted many participants to stop and visit, communicate and take group photos.
It is known that the Asia-Pacific Geoparks Webinar is held every two years and is the highest-level meeting of the Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network. The next meeting will be held in 2026 at Langkawi Global Geopark in Malaysia.
