Yimengshan Global Geopark Administration has carried out activities to popularize geological science into the community

On June 27, Yimengshan Global Geopark Administration walked into Xiushui Community, Liuqing Street, Lanshan District, Linyi City, to carry out geological science popularization.

The bureau staff first held a discussion with the responsible comrades of Xiushui community, and reached a consensus on long-term publicity, exchange and cooperation. Subsequently, Zhang Yingsong, Ph.D. of the Institute of Cold and Drought Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, leading expert of Shandong Provincial Science Popularization Expert Studio, and senior engineer of Mengshan Protection and Development Center, took "Yimengshan Global Geopark" as the theme to give a vivid geological science lesson for community staff and residents in simple terms, and introduce in detail the distribution of Yimengshan Global Geopark, Mengshan culture, geological relics and other contents.

In this event, Yimengshan Global Geopark Administration donated more than 300 geological science books to Xiushui community, and distributed more than 400 geological posters and more than 100 cultural and creative products to the community residents.
