In order to fulfill the statutory tree-planting obligations and consolidate the achievements of Mengshan ecological protection, Yimengshan UNESCO Global Geopark Administration joined hands with a number of units to jointly carry out the Arbor Day activity of "jointly planting trees for sharing lucid water and lush mountains" on the morning of March 10, with more than 170 cadres and workers participating.
At 10 a.m., all the personnel came to the chestnut camp in Guimeng Scenic Area, Jieqi Altar and other tree planting sites to carry out voluntary tree planting activities. The scene of tree planting was bustling with enthusiasm, and everyone worked together to support seedlings, cultivate soil, and water down with buckets. The newly planted saplings stood tall and vibrant in the wind. After a morning of hard work, more than 150 saplings such as Pinus armandii Franch, tassels, magnolia, and more than 1200 saplings such as hydrangea and rose were planted.
Since last year, Yimengshan UNESCO Global Geopark Administration has conscientiously performed its duties to protect Mengshan, successfully obtaining the right to host the 2023 China Global Geopark Annual Conference. The administration has established a "1+1+4+N" law enforcement protection system, and completed the "Mengshan Protection Master Plan", bringing the ability of the administration serving the protection and development of Mengshan to a new level.
In the next step, the Yimengshan UNESCO Global Geopark Administration will firmly establish the concept that lucid water and lush mountains are invaluable assets, unswervingly take the road of prioritizing ecological conservation and boosting green development, and continually work hard for a long time to further consolidate and improve the achievements of ecological civilization construction in Mengshan region, making greater contributions to protecting the ecological environment of Mengshan.
