Seminar on Construction and Development of Global Geopark opens

Seminar on Global Geopark Construction and Development was successfully held on April 27. Participating experts conducted discussions on the construction and development of geoparks, and exchanged speeches with related geoparks.

The seminar was divided into two phases. In the first phase, Zheng Yuan, director of the National Geopark Network Center Office, Zhao Zhizhong, a researcher at the Academy of Geological Sciences, Zhang Zhiguang, a senior engineer at the National Geopark Network Center, Zhang Jianping, a doctoral supervisor of the China University of Geosciences (Beijing), and a doctoral student Cai Yinlu respectively made the titled "The UNESCO Global Geopark Standards-Evaluation and Concerns", "The UNESCO Global Geopark Standards-Evaluation and Concerns", "The relevant procedures for the declaration and reassessment of China Global Geoparks and the preparation of submission materials" respectively. ", "UNESCO Global Geopark Concept and Key Points of Sustainable Development", "Global Geopark Construction and Development-Community Participation and Popular Science Activities" report. In the second stage, Yimeng Mountain Global Geopark, Shilin Global Geopark, and Dabieshan Global Geopark made exchange speeches respectively.
